Bring these questions
- Is my goal contour support or skin quality, and which preparation fits it?
- Since Radiesse cannot be dissolved like hyaluronic-acid filler, how conservative should my first amount be?
- How much swelling or bruising should I plan around before my flight?
What the physician decides
The assessment covers jawline and cheek contour, or looseness on the lower face and neck. The physician chooses the preparation and amount for your goal. Daylight photos from the front and side, and any filler you have had before, help with planning.
Key limitation: reversibility
Unlike hyaluronic-acid filler, Radiesse cannot be dissolved with an enzyme. That is why amount and placement are chosen carefully and a conservative first amount may be suggested. It is not used in the lips, and treatment is postponed during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Alternatives
Hyaluronic-acid fillers, such as chin and lip filler, add volume where placed and can be dissolved. Juvelook is a PDLLA stimulator for skin or soft volume, and Rejuran targets skin quality. How much of each effect you notice, and for how long, varies by individual.
Recovery and travel
Swelling, bruising or tenderness can occur, and how long they remain visible varies by individual and injection area. Time in the room is usually short. Share travel and event dates so the plan leaves a sensible buffer before photos or flights.
