How the plan is agreed

Some people want a small change in volume, some more fullness, and some a cleaner border. The physician checks symmetry and movement, and may suggest a smaller amount first if your request would stretch the lip. Previous lip filler should be mentioned.

Limits and duration

Filler is gradually absorbed, and how long change stays visible varies with the product, the individual and how much the lips move. A maintenance rhythm is discussed rather than promised. Lips swell easily, so the immediate look is not the settled result.

Related options

Mouth corners can be included in the same plan if your anatomy suits it. Radiesse is not used in the lips. Chin shape, which affects how the lips sit in profile, is a separate filler decision, and muscle-related concerns are discussed with botulinum toxin.

Aftercare, warning signs and travel

For the first day or two, avoid alcohol, saunas and pressing the lips unless instructed. Contact the clinic straight away if the lip skin turns pale, dusky or blotchy, or pain worsens; these are uncommon but need same-day review. Plan photos and dinners around possible swelling.
