Bring these questions
- Is the tired look in my face mainly from hollowing, from sagging, or both?
- Would repositioning tissue be enough, or would I also need a separate volume treatment?
- How much recovery time would the plan you suggest need before I fly home?
What the physician looks at
The assessment considers where the cheek has dropped, how thin the skin is, and whether true hollowing is present. These change what is suggested, because a lifting treatment does not replace volume and a volume treatment does not lift sagging tissue.
Treatment directions
Thread lifting repositions sagging tissue, and Cheek Hollow Lifting applies threads to cheeks that look hollow at the sides. Where real volume loss contributes, a volume treatment may be discussed separately. The proportion of each problem decides the mix.
Limitations
A broader, heavier look can come from sagging rather than excess volume, so adding filler is not automatically the answer. Very heavy skin excess may not suit threads. How much any treatment changes, and for how long, varies by individual.
Before agreeing to a plan
The physician may recommend something other than what you expected and will explain the tradeoffs. Nothing is done without informed consent. Swelling, bruising and tightness are common after threads, so treatment early in your trip leaves time before the flight home.
