Bring these questions
- Which of my scars are rolling, boxcar or icepick, and which methods would each need?
- How many sessions do you expect, and how far apart, given that I am travelling?
- How long might bruising from subcision stay visible before my flight?
Examination under side lighting
The physician sorts scars by type and checks whether acne is still active; scar work usually waits until breakouts are under control. Cold sores, keloid scarring, recent isotretinoin or an active skin infection can mean a method is postponed or left out.
What the starting program covers
The starting program is a Juvelook skin booster with subcision. Fractional laser, radiofrequency microneedling and focal TCA are separate options, added only when the scars call for them. Final components and the quote are confirmed at the in-person consultation.
Steps, not erasure
Several sessions spaced weeks apart are usual, so the skin can heal in between. The number depends on scar types and response. Treatment may make scars less noticeable over several sessions. Improvement varies, and scars are not erased. Flat brown or red marks are a separate pigment question.
Downtime and travel buffer
Subcision is done through small needle entry points after numbing, so bruising and swelling over treated scars are expected for several days. Depending on the methods used, redness or peeling can last from a few days to about a week. Confirm a buffer before flying.
