Bring these questions
- Given my medications and health history, is a drip advisable for me today at all?
- Which formulation would you choose for my goal, and what does it contain?
- If I am booking other treatments, in what order and on which day should the drip go?
The medical check
Before anything is started, tell the physician about allergies, regular medications, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and health conditions. You do not need to choose a blend in advance. After the check, the physician recommends a formulation, or advises against a drip that day.
What a drip is not
A drip does not treat jet lag or illness, and it does not replace drinking water and rest. Some patients ask about one around a long flight; whether that suits you is a medical decision. The final formulation is confirmed individually.
Combining with other treatments
A drip can be booked on the same day as another treatment if the physician agrees after looking at your full plan. Mention every treatment you are booking so the order and timing can be checked.
During and after
A needle is placed in a vein and you rest in a chair while the drip runs, usually for under an hour depending on the formulation. A small bruise can appear at the needle site. Tell the physician what you have planned for the rest of the day.
