Assessment
The physician looks at your face at rest and in profile and checks the skin along the jaw and cheeks. How much laxity there is, where it sits and how you tolerate heat are the deciding factors. If laxity is too advanced, you are told before anything is booked.
Limits
Radiofrequency heats the skin across a broad area and is aimed at early laxity, not heavy sagging. The starting option covers a limited area, so larger areas need a larger plan, confirmed after assessment. Response varies by individual.
Alternatives
HIFU devices such as Shurink focus ultrasound at set depths under the skin, while Thermage and Oligio are other radiofrequency options. Neither type suits everyone; skin thickness and where the laxity sits decide it, and the physician says if another device makes more sense.
Comfort and recovery
