Oligio Thermal RF Lifting

Oligio is a monopolar radiofrequency device that heats a broad column of dermis on the face and around the eyes, with collagen remodelling over months as the intended response. It is not designed to reach the deeper SMAS plane.

Bring these questions

  • Is the change I see coming from the skin layer, or from deeper tissue that Oligio will not reach?
  • Why would you choose Oligio over Thermage for me, apart from price?
  • Should I treat my face, my eyes or both, and how would that affect comfort and recovery?

Is a dermal device the right tool?

The physician assesses where the laxity sits and whether a dermal treatment fits. Crepey texture and early laxity on the face and around the eyes are the usual focus. If most of the change comes from deeper tissue, you hear that before booking.

Comparing with Thermage

Both are monopolar radiofrequency devices from different makers. A different price does not make them the same treatment, and does not make either work better. Oligio spreads energy over wide zones at moderate depth, which is a different delivery pattern, not a superior one.

Limits and other routes

How much remodelling develops varies, and duration cannot be promised; repeats are decided at follow-up. The study cited by Tune Clinic concerns monopolar radiofrequency as a class and does not establish results for Oligio or an individual treatment plan. For deeper sagging, Ultherapy, Shurink or threads may be discussed.

Screening and recovery

A pacemaker or implanted electrical device, metal implants in the area, active skin infection, pregnancy or breastfeeding can rule it out. Each pulse can feel hot despite cooling and vibration, and pauses are possible. Redness, warmth or mild swelling can follow.

A source to discuss

A small study of monopolar radiofrequency and microfocused ultrasound reported improvement in facial and neck laxity, but it does not establish results for Oligio or for any particular treatment plan.

Monopolar radiofrequency as a class. This is modality context only. It is not evidence of Oligio's results, not evidence that Oligio is equivalent to Thermage, and it does not support the comparison, price, comfort or maintenance statements elsewhere on this page.

A randomized split-face trial in 20 people followed for six months. Both sides improved with no significant difference between them, which is not evidence that the two treatments are equivalent, and the abstract does not name the commercial devices used.
