TenTherma Lifting

TenTherma is a monopolar radiofrequency device that heats the dermis, with collagen remodelling over the following months as the intended effect. A range of tip sizes lets the physician match energy delivery to each zone of the face, neck or body.

Bring these questions

  • Is my loss of firmness mainly in the skin, or does deeper sagging mean another approach would suit me better?
  • Which areas and tip sizes would you plan, and is a single visit reasonable for my trip?
  • Do any of my implants, devices or recent treatments rule this out or change the timing?

Who it is assessed for

The consultation focuses on loss of firmness and crepey texture on the face, eye area, neck or body. Tell the clinic which area you mean, since the plan follows the area. Recent lifting or laser treatments and your travel dates help the physician propose a realistic first plan.

What it does not claim

The clinic does not claim TenTherma reaches deeper than other radiofrequency devices or acts on the SMAS layer. Choosing a tip is part of planning, not a guarantee. The small study cited by Tune Clinic concerns monopolar radiofrequency as a class and does not establish results for TenTherma.

When something else fits

If most of the sagging comes from deeper tissue, focused ultrasound such as Ultherapy, or a thread lift, may be discussed. Thermage and Oligio are other monopolar radiofrequency options; the choice between devices is made at assessment rather than by name.

Safety screening and recovery

Mention a pacemaker or implanted electrical device, metal implants in the area, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Active dermatitis, acne flares or infection are assessed first. Flushing, warmth, mild swelling, tenderness or dryness can follow, so flag any event or flight close to the date.

A source to discuss

A small study of monopolar radiofrequency and microfocused ultrasound reported improvement in facial and neck laxity, but it does not establish results for TenTherma or for any particular treatment plan.

Monopolar radiofrequency as a class, for face and neck laxity. This is modality context only and is not evidence of TenTherma's results. It does not cover eye or body treatment, treatment depth, tip selection or the SMAS layer.

A randomized split-face trial in 20 people followed for six months. Both sides improved with no significant difference between them, which is not evidence that the two treatments are equivalent, and the abstract does not name the commercial devices used.
